Automated exits: trailing stops & timed sells

Beyond fixed TP/SL levels, Neurobot has two more ways to close positions hands-free.

Trailing stops

A trailing stop follows the price up and sells when it retraces a set percentage from the highest point reached since you armed it.

  • Configure the trail percentage (e.g. 20% — sell if the token drops 20% from its peak) and an optional expiry.
  • The engine maintains a running high for each trailing order from the live price stream; when the retrace threshold is crossed, the sell fires automatically.
  • Set it up from the Telegram trading menu (Config trailing stop).

When to use it: you believe the token can keep running and don’t want a fixed take-profit to cap the upside — the trail locks in gains while leaving room to ride.

Time-based auto-sell

Sell a position automatically after a configured hold time — the classic exit for sniped launches.

  • A per-user default hold time applies (initially 3.5 hours); sniper configs can set their own.
  • The countdown starts at the buy; when it elapses, the position is sold and you’re notified.
  • Cancel a scheduled auto-sell for a specific token any time from the bot (Cancel auto-sell) if you decide to keep holding.

When to use it: launch sniping, where the edge decays with time and you want a guaranteed exit whether or not a price trigger is hit.

Combining exits

The exit mechanisms are independent — a position can have TP/SL levels and a trailing stop and a timed sell. Whichever triggers first executes; a 100% sell (manual or automated) cancels the rest so nothing double-fires.

All automated sells honor your fee & slippage settings and land as Telegram notifications with the fill details.
